Quality Policy

The Polish Committee for Standardization, as a standards body recognized in Poland and worldwide, directs its tasks to the efficient organization of standardization activities and provides all stakeholders with standardization products in agreed time. The products are:

• relevant to market requirements,
• compatible with European and international solutions, worked out with the participation of interested Polish parties,
• supporting technical national policy, in order to help manufacturers in facilitating  trade and gaining their competitive advantage.

The Polish Committee for Standardization applies the principles of voluntary participation, openness, transparency, coherence, consensus and impartiality in organizing the standardization activities.

The top management determines directions of activity for the Polish Committee for Standardization and sets targets for implementation at all levels of the organization, creates and ensures the maintenance of internal environment and availability of resources enabling:

• permanent improvement of quality of products  and services;
• broadening a range of offered products and services;
• assurance of a coherence of  national standardization system  with European and  international ones;
• active partnership on  European and  international standardization arena;
• permanent promotion of  benefits of participation in standards work and  application of Polish Standards as well as popularization of the Mark of Conformity with PN as the symbol of quality assurance;
• consecutive development of information technology in PKN;
• developing new forms of access to PKN deliverables;
• optimization of organizational structure of PKN and internal procedures to  improve participation in standards work and development of Polish Standards;
• improvement of staff competence affecting the compliance of offered products with their specific requirements.

Proper implementation of the standardization process and services is guaranteed through the implementation and continuous improvement of effectiveness of the Quality Management System in accordance with the PN EN ISO 9001:2009, including the determining responsibilities and commitment of all employees.

The Quality Policy is a commitment towards our customers and the public. It has been announced by the Management. It is well known, understood and respected by all employees of the Polish Committee for Standardization.
